Towne Street Theatre is looking to hire DESIGNERS and DIRECTORS for our fall production of IN RESPONSE 2025: RISE UP!

Projection/Video Designer
This production will rely heavily on projection/video design as it will have multiple pieces from different time periods and different locations. Designer should have access to their own projectors, as Stella Adler and TST currently only own one projector currently connected to the grid. Needs to be able to work with the set designer to create a simple, but beautiful stage. Designs should be able to run from a laptop in Qlab along with lighting design. Should also be able to set up at least six short films to be shown every Thursday and easily go back to performances the following day. Projected pay is $1800.
Set Designer
With a design relying heavily on video projection, we are looking to have a minimalist set that allows the highlight to be the projections. With 10 different pieces in the production, there should be simple furniture and no large set/flats movement. Should be able to incorporate a film screen of some sort for "film nights." Should be able to work with the Projection Designer to create a transformative atmosphere. Projected pay is $1500 with a separate set building budget.
Sound Designer
Looking for a sound designer who can create an atmosphere that brings the audience into multiple time periods and locations. Possible live musicians may be included to enhance certain elements. Final design should be able to be run from Qlab or similar program with sound board at Stella Adler Theatre. Projected pay is $1500.
Lighting Designer
Looking for a lighting designer who can create an atmosphere that brings the audience into multiple time periods and locations. Must be able to integrate with video projections to create a cohesive design. Final design should be able to be run from Qlab or similar program with sound board at Stella Adler Theatre. Projected pay is $1800 with a stipend for an electrician to help with hang.
Costume Designer
The final cast size has not been determined, but many actors will double in various roles. We are looking for simple, yet effective costumes that can be bought or pulled. With each piece coming from different time periods, we are looking for simple pieces that evoke the theme of each piece without distracting from the action onstage. Projected pay is $1000 with a separate costume budget.
Props Designer
With each piece coming from different time periods and locations, we are looking for someone who can find the necessary props that evoke the theme of each piece without distracting from the action onstage. Projected pay is $750 with a separate props budget.
Production Stage Manager
Looking for an organized, experienced stage manager who is adept at working with multiple directors, ASMs, and actors who are doubled in multiple roles. Should be comfortable with both phone and email communication, as well as Google Drive. Schedule is currently as follows:

Assistant Stage Managers
Looking for two organized and capable assistant stage managers that can serve as backstage crew during run, as well as serve as SMs when multiple rehearsals happen. Should be comfortable with both phone and email communication, as well as Google Drive.

Directors
Looking for directors who have a background in various genres, specifically one director/choreographer with musical theatre background for a musical song that has been chosen.
