TST’s first acting workshop of 2024 was a hit!
J. August Richard's workshop on “Being a Series Regular” was a success.
Picture this: you walk up to Stella Adler theatre on Hollywood and Highland. You get buzzed in at the front door, walk up those two flights of stairs until you reach the stage and seats. In attendance are 50 or so actors looking to understand how to make it in Hollywood. There's an air of excitement and anticipation in the room. This was the scene that attendees were greeted with on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.
Before them on the stage was an actor willing to share his knowledge and insight. J. August Richards offered his audience a rare, behind the curtain look into the process behind his 25 year career as a professional actor. Known for his work on Angel, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Vampire Academy and more, J. August has experienced it all in this business!
Instead of letting his audience be intimidated by all the roles that he has played, J. August reminded them that he started out just like any actor who makes their way to the sunny shores of Los Angeles hoping to have a big break.
