SEASON 32 - 2025

You are cordially invited to the TST Holiday Reading Series this December.
Saturday, December 6th
@ 2 pm
Stella Adler Theatre
Join us as we read three short plays that showcase the winter holidays and showcase African-American and other cultural experiences. From a fun look at how one classic Christmas song was written (VERY SILENT NIGHT by Seth Freeman), to an examination of what "the reason for the season" means (SLAY BELLS RING by JP Rapozo), and finally what is Kwanzaa versus Christmas as we age (CHRISTMAS DINNER KWANZA BREAKFAST by Harriet A. Dickey).
We are excited to explore diversity on stage this holiday season!

Very Silent Night
A mountain village in Austria, 1818. With the church organ destroyed and the passes too clogged with snow to bring in a replacement, the town kappelmeister has to write what will become the world’s favorite Christmas carol.
Christmas Dinner Kwanzaa Breakfast
Lorraine Kent thinks Kwanzaa is an affront to Jesus and wants nothing to do with it. Until her granddaughter shows her she is “overthinking” that and a few other things as well.
Slay Bells Ring
Slay Bells Ring is a heavenly holiday drag-tastrophe set on Christmas Eve inside a small Catholic church where the stained glass is sparkling, the nativity is a mess, and four divine divas descend to save the season!
