This screenplay brings to life the true story of Bessie Coleman, the first woman of African-American descent, and the first of Native-American descent, to hold a pilot license.

Called Queen Bess and Brave Bessie during her glory years, she became the celebrated flyer she’d always dreamed she’d be.
